FRA, along with 70 other association leaders, signed a letter to President Biden requesting the EPA maintain current National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for fine particulate matter. “FRA is concerned about this proposed EPA rule and its impact on the wood supply chain. This change could have serious consequences that will inhibit future growth of the forest products industry and negatively impact rural forest-based economies.” -Keith Gray, FRA President. #woodsupplychain #forestry #policy
AWC President and CEO Jackson Morrill along with leaders of more than 70 other trade groups from diverse sectors across the American economy are asking President Biden to step in and preserve the current National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for fine particulate matter. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed lowering the standard to a level that would jeopardize jobs, risk substantial economic harm and stifle growth and investment in our industries. There is more at stake as well. In our letter to the administration, we make the case that the proposed EPA rule would threaten successful implementation of three key administration policy initiatives, including the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the CHIPS and Science Act and essential clean energy provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act.
